Don't forget Microsoft's

Don't forget Microsoft's MSDNAA program which gives Engineering students free access to Microsoft software (ie Windows Client and Server, SQL server, Visual Studio etc.) whit a license permitting non-commercial use even after graduating of all previously downloaded software.

The meeting times are such

The meeting times are such that I'll be unlikely to make it.

Do you do drupal?

I can't believe blackboard costs $50k -- it's a piece of shit IMO.

I'm also at canterbury taking

I'm also at canterbury taking the cosc208 course. Perhaps I will see you at the free culture club meetings some time.
The crypt lab had some rather slow celeron based computers last year, so even if they are running windows (very strange) the hardware is better at least. Last year microsoft had quite a few seminars on campus, it's quite obvious that their agenda is to increase sales and extend the lifetime of the monopoly they hold. Let's just hope the university replaces blackboard($50k per year) with moodle sometime soon.
